The Rikkud, The Tisch & The Chagiga (Part 1)

We davened ma'ariv, listened to Rav Ari lain the megillah, followed by the annual rikkud. The band had been setting up all the while and so this years post megilla rikud even featured live music.
After the dust had settled, the Stollel made sure to do a rikud at their own pace.

Break-fast was a wonderful spread of fine delacacies amongst them baked-ziti, bagels, tuna fish, pickles and Daniel's award winning soup. We ate slowly and peacefully and prepared to head upstairs to the first (hopefully annual) pre-Chagiga Hisva'adus.

Rav Ari told the ma'aseh of R' Baruch Mordechai and the Chasam Sofer, R' Elie had a word to say as well. The Hisva'adus had reached its height and could reach no higher. The lights turned on and the Chagiga began. Unlike previous years (because at this point everyone was not yet intoxicated with alcoholic beverages) the rikkud began organized with a center circle for the rebbe's kavod ha'Torah.

Ingenious Reishit Faculty move of the night: Locking the beis-midrash porch to avoid B.B. King on Purim-like hangout.
The Chagiga was bound to get wilder, was destined to get crazier. Sruli hadn't been seen for hours. Where had he gone? What was he up to? And where had Moshe Marcus been all this time?
Stay tuned for the answers and more on our count down 'till the Chag HaGeula!

  5. Sendy Gross seems to be in a really good place in the first video
Secondly I would like to point out that ZP HaLevi is rocking a gartel and is going in the right direction to join stollel 2010.

  7. HaAdmor it should be known that ZP HaLEvi has been rocking a gartel even in his krum days of Akiba. secondly i have very good sources telling me srulli was not really even drunk and that he was faking it the whole time and he was drinking red powerade passing it off as wine.

  8. mitzvah boy you had better reconsider these "very good sources" because sruli was not rockin' wine.

  9. Maybe Sruli was learning the message of vodka of not allowing your suroundings to affect you. Even if you put it in the coldest places vodka doesn't change.

  10. It changes..it just doesn't freeze...and it thaws everything it touches...even in the darkest of places...[unless your freezer is -114.3 C]

Srulee could teach the vodka a lesson or two...

  11. you should be affected by your surroundings...especially in the heilege surrounding of stollel and reishis...you gota let it permeate...so vodka not the greatest mashel...ill let it slide dean

  12. Even in the holy places we must not forget to ask who am I? What are my kochos? What does Hashem want from me and only me?
